THE 411 ON BELO’S STARWALKER

You have to understand that after having two kids, I have successfully achieved dark under eye circles, for free! It’s true that moms won’t have the same amount of sleep once they have the little ones around. And so I began researching for the perfect eye products that could at least conceal the darkness and get rid of puffiness. But whatever it is that i use, be it drugstore or high end product, I end up not getting that satisfaction and I almost gave up on finding the one! Now I saw a whole new light when I was introduced to Belo’s Starwalker treatment.


I visited Belo Greenbelt for my first session. I was advised to have a consultation with Dr. Nikki San Luis who explained the common factors as to why we get dark under eye circles. It can be hereditary or due to allergic rhinitis in which a person unconsciously starts to rub the eye area. It’s not really black guys, but because of the blood vessels under each eye (technically reddish-blue in color) that become prominent as we age, it appears to be dark circles in the surface of our skin. Dr. San Luis then explained that I will be going through 3 steps. 
1. Cleaning the under eye area using a cleanser
2. Targeting the red capillaries underneath the skin. A machine will pass through the area where you will hear a ticking sound, it’s not all painful!
3. Whitening the dark spot. The machine goes through the same area again to whiten it. 
The whole treatment lasted for about 10-15 minutes, one of the fastest treatments I ever had in my life! Good news is that there’s no down time, I can go back to regular programming-whether I’m off to a shoot, to attend a meeting or to a parent-teacher conference, I just have to dab a light make up and I’m good to go.

Dr. San Luis told me that a patient needs to undergo three sessions to see visible results. After that, an assessment will be done to know if there’s a need to have additional sessions.

The result? I noticed that my dark circles slightly improved. I still put a bit of concealer to make my eyes look brighter but not as much as I used to. In fact, I just realized that I can now go out even without my concealer! I’m not saying that after one session, it’s completely gone but I’m more confident without me being conscious and wondering if the person I’m talking to has fixated on the baggages under my eyes. Results may vary which is why I suggest having a consultation first. This is sooo perfect for Moms who have lost their confidence due to lack of sleep and fatigue. It’s not just for us ladies, even the gents can try it too. Who says they can’t, right? Off to book my next session! :)
